Who is Saish?
Product designer with an engineering background
What started as curiosity in code grew into a desire to shape human experiences, leading to masters in
human-computer interaction. Here's my story.

Product Designer
I focus on designing experiences that make complex digital products understandable, usable, and action-driven.
I consider myself a “box-shaped generalist,” shaped largely by working in fast-paced startup environments. I’m comfortable moving across user research, interaction design, and visual design, while bringing a deeper strength in systems thinking. I’m particularly interested in how different layers of a product, data, features, interactions, and visual structure, connect to form a cohesive experience.
Currently, I’m building a design system from scratch at Verse, establishing a consistent product language across mobile and desktop.
Previously, I worked on simplifying complex operational workflows for Kroger, where our donation management platform helped streamline food recovery logistics and was validated at the Kroger Eco Hackathon 2024.
I’ve also contributed to research-driven product design across domains, including designing a B2B SaaS tool at Accolade, where user insights informed product decisions and workflow improvements.
Recently, with the growth of AI-assisted tools like Lovable, Claude Code, and Google AI Studio. I enjoy building small prototypes and shipping playful experiments that explore the intersection of design taste, interaction, and emerging technology.
Design philosophy
Before transitioning into design, I trained as an engineer, which continues to influence how I approach product problems. I naturally think in terms of systems, how interfaces, business requirements, users, and technical constraints interact.
Here's my design philosophy broken down.
Context before pixels
Understand the ecosystems: user mental models, constraints, and tradeoffs.
Who is this for? What breaks if we change it?
Evidence → clarity
Leverage research and data to ensure we solve the right problem, no guesswork.
What’s noise vs. signal here?
Ideate, iterate, ship, repeat
Treating design as a learning loop: each version reducing uncertainty.
What did we learn from this release?
Design for ROI
Build for outcomes that matter: adoption, efficiency, scalability & not just usability.
Will this move the needle?
What I do when I'm not designing
I enjoy exploring new skills and habits to expand how I think and see the world. I’m often curious about how perspectives and skills from different domains can come together to shape new ways of thinking and creating.
